Messer's people living and working in Dayton build national-award-winning buildings. Providing better building experiences is only one thing we do. We also build our community by committing time and financial assistance to philanthropic Miami Valley organizations. Our commitment to include minority- and woman-owned businesses on every Messer project further builds our community. In 2010, more than 12% or nearly $4 million dollars of Dayton’s total spend of $30 million were spent with certified M/WBE’s.

Community Spotlight
While we're changing the skyline, we're aslo strengthening the Dayton community. Messer has contributed more than $400,000 and numerous volunteer hours to the Dayton community since 2006. Messer professionals dedicate their leadership talents and serve as key roles on community service boards and committees.
In 2010, The Messer Foundation awarded a $25,000 grant to the YWCA in Dayton. The grant will directly pay for the installation of new carpet in the YWCA's third floor auditorium and the main assembly venue. It will also support the repainting of the entire Childcare Facility.
