The Spirit of Construction Foundation recently inducted Kathy Daly, retired Messer Construction Co. senior vice president and CFO, into its Hall of Fame with a Lifetime Achievement Award.  Daly was among three recipients honored for this top award at a reception held Oct. 22.  Each year Foundation members and guests gather to celebrate and recognize leaders within the construction industry who have made significant contributions to the civic, aesthetic and economic well-being of the Greater Cincinnati region.

During her 40 career with Messer Daly assumed increasing responsibility in the areas of accounting, finance, administration, risk management, and information technology.  She created a more diverse workplace at Messer, breaking new ground for women in an industry typically dominated by men.  She has been a volunteer director for many organizations, including finance programs at the University of Dayton and University of Cincinnati business schools, the Cincinnati chapters of the American Red Cross, YWCA and Easter Seals Work Resource Center.  Daly continues to serve on Messer's board of directors.
