Meet Randy Fields, Messer's new business development executive

Messer Construction Co. recently announced the hire of Randy S. Fields as its Knoxville business development executive.

“We’re thrilled to have Randy join our team,” said Andy Lorenz, Messer Construction Co. vice president and general manager. “Randy’s deep connections in the community and expertise in our key market segments will no doubt serve our clients well.”

Fields comes to Messer with more than 15 years of experience in business development roles in the health care, manufacturing and technology industries. He most recently worked for Sight 11 Interventional Practice Consulting and his work history includes positions at Boston Scientific Corporation, Terraine, Inc. and Consolidated Products, Inc.  

Throughout his many years in Knoxville he has served the community by participating on a variety of boards, committees and charitable engagements, including his most recent appointment to the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Committee. He is a long-standing member of the Tusculum College Presidential Advisory Board and a lifetime member of the National Eagle Scout Association.

In addition, Fields is a decorated veteran of Operation Desert Shield/Storm, serving in both Saudi Arabia and Iraq while a member of the North Carolina Army National Guard prior to moving to East Tennessee. Fields graduated from Warren Wilson College in with a bachelor’s degree in history and political science.
