Case Study – Cincinnati Financial Corporation (CFC) Tower III

Using Lean Construction techniques, Messer was able to finish this 480,000 sf building five months ahead of schedule and $5 million under budget. Using Lean Construction tools, Messer delivered Tower III (featuring an underground parking garage) three months faster than the identical Tower II which did not include a parking garage and was built before Messer adopted Lean processes. This is proof that using Lean principles to increase the predictability of a project can increase the project’s speed and quality to completion. This project won the regional Design-Build Institute of America’s 2009 Design-Build award.
