Messer Construction Co. Nashville Awarded Two Projects

Messer Construction Co. in Nashville was recently awarded two projects. The construction manager/general contractor was awarded Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) Lyons Dormitory Renovation and a Life Safety Repairs Project for McKendree Village.
Messer will start construction on the MTSU Lyons Dormitory in July with the duration of the project expected to last 10 months. The project is a total gut renovation of a 70,000sf original structure on the MTSU campus. Messer was competitive and was awarded the project by the Tennessee Board of Regents.
Work on the McKendree Village project began in early May. This retirement community, connected to the Methodist Church, is expected to be completed in November. Messer and Barge Waggoner Sumner and Cannon were selected to perform a life-safety renovation process. Fire alarms and sprinklers will be renovated throughout the occupied, 17-story retirement center.
