KMBC Names Messer Construction Co. Corporation of the Year

(January 18, 2008)  LOUISVILLE, KY - Messer Construction Co., a Louisville general contractor and construction manager, was recently named Corporation of the Year by the Kentuckiana Minority Business Council (KMBC) for helping to create opportunity for all segments of the community. This is the third consecutive year Messer received this award.

The Corporation of the Year Award is KMBC’s top corporate award, recognizing firms for exemplary achievements in minority business development. Awarded firms meet high standards and are committed to both identifying and utilizing minority firms in the community.

Additionally, Messer was recognized, among approximately 20 businesses, for spending more than $1 million with minority businesses in 2007.

KMBC is one of 39 regional councils across America and is affiliated with the National Minority Supplier Development Council Network. There are 3,500 corporate members throughout the network, including America’s top publicly-owned, privately-owned and foreign-owned companies as well as universities, hospitals and other buying institutions. KMBC has 125 members, all of whom can qualify for the Corporation of the Year Award.
