Messer Enhances Higher Education Expertise with Renner

(March 04, 2009)  Cincinnati, Ohio – Messer Construction Co. has enhanced its expertise and position of influence in the higher education category with the addition of Raymond D. Renner as Higher Education Director.

Renner brings more than 30 years of experience to the position, where he will provide strategic counsel within the higher education space. Renner will provide an owner’s perspective that will expand and deepen the core higher education expertise at Messer. By combining this expertise with construction excellence, Messer will deliver true value to owners in the higher education market.

Renner previously served as Senior Associate Vice President for Facilities and Construction at the University of Cincinnati, where he was responsible for managing all construction, renovations, facilities, maintenance, utilities and related budgets totaling nearly half a billion dollars. He oversaw more than 75 active projects with more than $100,000,000 in annual operating costs and 700 staff.

“Ray Renner brings a wealth of experience and industry knowledge to Messer,” said Tom Keckeis, president of Messer. “The insights that he provides will help us provide strategic solutions that better address our clients’ needs.”

Renner earned his Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of Cincinnati and is a Certified Public Accountant.
