Messer welcomes 13 employees

Messer Construction Co. recently hired Tiffany Witham as Marketing Director, Joshua Hughes as Business Analyst/Project Development Systems, Ken Saunders as Safety Coordinator, Brett Vannatta as Business Operations Manager, Joshua Abbott, Lance Leigh, George McMinn, Chris Speier and Matthew Thompson as Project Engineers; Jason Brunner and Tommy Lunsford as Building Systems Engineers; Angela Erfman and Teresa New as Project Management Assistants.
Tiffany Witham joins Messer with more than fourteen years of professional experience working in a variety of marketing positions including both senior marketing manager and divisional marketing communications manager.
Joshua Hughes received his bachelor’s in Science, Management and Information Systems from Western Kentucky University in 2002. He joins Messer with more than six years of professional experience.
Ken Saunders joins Messer with more than 20 years of experience. His experience includes serving as a security specialist in the Unites States Air Force. He also spent time working as a field safety coordinator, regional safety director, safety director and loss control specialist.
Brett Vannatta has more than ten years of management experience as well as extensive business operations experience. He earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Indiana University.
Joshua Abbott recently graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a bachelor’s in Construction Management. His experience includes work as a laborer/foreman and superintendent.
Lance Leigh recently graduated from the University of Kentucky with a bachelor’s in Civil Engineering. Lance previously worked as a co-op for Messer and assisted with building layout, subcontractor coordination and general construction processes.
George McMinn recently graduated from the University of Louisville Speed School of Engineering with a bachelor’s in Civil Engineering. His work and school experiences include training in geomechanics, steel design and matrix structural analysis.
Chris Speier recently graduated from Northern Kentucky University with a bachelor’s in Construction Management. He worked as a co-op at Messer Construction for more than a year before being hired as Project Engineer.
Matthew Thompson received his bachelor’s in History from Miami University in Oxford, OH. He has more than four years of professional experience as a sales representative, construction supervisor and site manager.
Jason Brunner recently graduated from Tennessee Technological University with a bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering. His previous internship experience and coursework includes training in machine design and vibrations, turbo-machinery, thermal design and energy systems.
Tommy Lunsford recently graduated from the University of Kentucky with a bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering. He has experience working with advanced Building Systems software including AutoCAD, as well as hardware installation and networking experience.
Angela Erfman joins Messer with more than 14 years of professional experience. She worked in a variety of administrative and accounting positions, most recently as a financial manager.
Teresa New joins Messer with more than 18 years of professional experience. She has served in an array of administrative roles including project coordinator, network administrator and systems administrator.
