Mark’s full-time career began with Messer in 1985 after several years as a co-op student. In that same year, he graduated summa cum laude from the University of Cincinnati with a B.S. in Construction Management. Two years prior, Mark earned his A.S. in Architectural Technology from the University of Cincinnati. In 1995, Mark was honored with the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the University of Cincinnati, and in 2000 he received a Distinguished Alumnus Award from the University of Cincinnati College of Applied Science.
During Mark’s professional career, he has gained extensive health care, public and educational project experience. Mark leads operations in Kentucky and North Carolina and oversees Professional Development for the company, as well as serving as the EEO Officer. Under his guidance, the Louisville Region received the Kentuckiana Minority Business Council’s “Corporation of the Year” award for meeting high standards in identifying and utilizing community minority firms for six consecutive years (2005-2010). Mark is a graduate of Leadership Kentucky and served two terms on the Leadership Kentucky Board. He is currently serving his fifth term on the Louisville Chapter of the American Red Cross Board.
