Messer has apprenticeship programs registered and certified through the Department of Labor in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee and North Carolina.

Messer offers two apprenticeship programs:

  • Laborer Apprenticeship Program (LAP) two-year program certified through the Department of Labor (DOL) and Office of Veteran Affairs (VA).
  • Carpentry Apprenticeship Program (CAP) four-year program certified through the DOL and VA in all Messer regions.

  • Interest in our program continues to grow, with apprentice enrollment increasing an average of 18% each year.
  • 77% of graduates from our carpentry and laborer apprenticeship stay with Messer, and many move up to lead person or foremen positions in their region.
