John Megibben
Vice President, Louisville Region Leader
John began his career with Messer in 1993 after graduating from the University of Kentucky with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering. As John grew in his career, he gained experience in fast-track, multi-phase and renovation construction work. His project experience includes extensive health care, higher education, religious, parking, housing, stadium/hospitality and aviation projects. John was named one of the most influential health care business leaders in Greater Louisville (2008 – 2015) by Business First which cited his work on the $200 million Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University (IU) Health Simon Family Tower: Messer’s first project to use Integrated Project Delivery (IPD). His experience and talent in operations and performance also contributed to Messer winning five AGC Build Kentucky Awards.
John’s project expertise and leadership helped him progress to his current role as vice president for Messer’s Louisville region.
He serves the community as a trustee of Family Scholar House, and he sits on the boards of the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and Greater Louisville Inc. He is a graduate of multiple Leadership Louisville programs including Ignite Louisville, Leadership Louisville and Bingham Fellows.
