Matthew Verst

Matt began his career at Messer in 2000 in operations as a project engineer after earning his bachelor’s of science in civil engineering from the University of Kentucky in 1999. After several years, he accepted a role in the Cost Planning & Estimating department heading up the estimating efforts for the Cincinnati Region.

Matt now leads the whole department and is responsible for guiding and developing the team. He also leads the overall preconstruction process developing cost estimates, guaranteed maximum prices, constructability reviews, value analysis, preliminary schedules and phasing plans. He achieves this by coordinating the efforts of Messer’s in-house estimating, scheduling, and engineering teams.

Matt’s engagement in the community includes serving on the Diocesan Catholic Children’s Home Board of Directors and Building & Grounds Committee, as well as on the Greater Cincinnati YMCA Board of Directors and Program Committee.
