William S. Krausen

Professional Development Vice President

Bill began his career with Messer in 1982 upon graduating from Western Kentucky University with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. After 12 years serving as estimator and chief estimator, Bill accepted the responsibility of Director of Professional Development. In 1999, he was appointed Vice President and currently leads Messer’s company-wide professional development initiatives. Bill’s focus is on performance management and the learning and development of management employees for career and company longevity.

He is active in trade organizations and supports his community through volunteering. Bill has served on several education committees for the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of America where he authored the AGC’s Leadership in Construction Program. Other groups and organizations who have benefitted from his service include the American Institute of Constructors, the University of Cincinnati Construction Innovation Center and the Advisory Board of the Boy Scouts of America. Bill currently serves on the Board of Directors and Properties Cabinet for the Dan Beard Council Boy Scouts of America, and the Board of Directors for the Cincinnati Chapter of the ACE Mentor Program. In 2001, Bill was honored with the prestigious Silver Beaver Award from the Boy Scouts of America.
