We're thrilled to receive an AGC Build Ohio Award for the renovation of Calhoun Hall, Siddall Hall and MarketPointe Dining (an addition to Calhoun Hall) at University of Cincinnati.

Calhoun Hall underwent a comprehensive renovation of its existing 13-story structure, covering 176,510 square feet, along with a 13,000 square foot addition for the MarketPointe dining facility. The upgrades included expanded hallways and rooms, private restrooms, a new common lounge, study areas, laundry facilities, and kitchen space.

Siddall Hall, the twin building to Calhoun, also saw extensive renovations. This 14-story residence hall, spanning 111,989 square feet, now accommodates up to 570 students with a variety of room options, including single, double, triple, and quad rooms. Key features of the renovation include new common lounge spaces, study areas, laundry facilities, a kitchen, and a housing office suite. The project encompassed all aspects of the building, including new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing infrastructure (MEP), facade enhancements, interior and exterior framing, and updated finishes throughout.

Build Ohio nominees are judged by a panel of retired construction professionals based on the following criteria: excellence in project management, innovation in construction techniques and materials, excellence in client service, and meeting the challenge of a difficult job.
