Cincinnati Shakespeare Company wanted a new theater to continue their tradition of world-class artistic productions. Cincinnati Shakespeare is known for their award-winning educational impact and community outreach that connected the people of Cincinnati to great art and culture.
We brought our experience in complex, historic renovations in urban areas. Tight site logistics were a challenge to overcome; the building was constructed with mobile cranes while keeping surrounding city streets open. There was limited space onsite for material and equipment storage which required additional coordination and scheduling with all subcontractors to maintain a safe, productive site.
- Renovation and addition of a three-level, 26,640 sf historic building
Completion of the 42’ tall concrete theater walls occurred in three lifts, totaling 30 pours.
Includes a large lobby, restrooms, elevator, rehearsal room, box office, and other support spaces
