We Are Building
The new 650,000 sf Critical Care Building project features an additional 26,000 sf for parking and a 118,000 sf renovation of the existing Location A. This state-of-the-art tower will include 224 new patient beds to expand their intake of patients from all over the world. The tower also features a 90,000 sf emergency department, a new pharmacy, wet labs, central sterile department (CSD), NICU, bone marrow transplant center (BMTC), ORs, PICUs, CICUs, and complex airway space.
Features and Facts
In addition to our inclusion spending goal of 30% and our workforce diversity goal of 25%, Messer is working to ensure we employ 50 new workers through the Uptown Workforce Development Initiative (UWDI) Throughout the course of this project.
Also, to help expedite the schedule, exterior walls, MEP racks, bathrooms, fire protection, and exterior skin were prefabricated.
