Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health Simon Family Tower Buildout
As Indiana’s first and only comprehensive pediatric hospital, Riley at IU Health sees more than 245,000 pediatric patients annually. In an effort to add capacity, increase efficiency and enhance patient satisfaction, Indiana University Health built a new ten-story facility.
- 330,000 sf fit-out in the Simon Family Tower
- Encompasses seven of ten total floors
- Cardiac unit, cancer/burn unit, neonatal intensive care unit, pediatric intensive care unit, operating rooms, emergency room and sterile processing unit
- This project was the first to utilize IPD in the region. IPD strives to reduce inefficiencies in the design and construction process while driving predictability through the collaborative use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Lean Construction tools.
