University of Cincinnati Health Sciences Building
We Are Building
This LEED-Gold Certified health academic building includes a four-story atrium, 1.5-acre green space, 130 administrative/faculty offices and 11 classrooms. Site development included demolition of Wherry Hall, relocation and extension of existing site utilities, modifications to the parking lot located north and west of the facility, vehicular access, pedestrian access and the development of a green space surrounding the building.
Features and Facts
This project’s location on an occupied campus required significant attention to site logistics, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations in addition to preserving student, faculty, staff and visitor safety. The facility’s design features an angeled walkway that connects to upper floors, encouraging physical activity and aligned with the school’s wellness mission. Classrooms and laboratories are glass-walled to allow collaborative break-out project discussions.
