Description

Extensive planning and coordination was necessary to successfully complete work with six other contractors on the jobsite. This is a four-level, pre-cast concrete parking garage that includes approximately 630 parking spaces and 5,000 sf office space. It also includes site storm water system, bus bays and drive lanes and a pedestrian bridge to connect the light rail station across the Norfolk Southern rails.

Features

  • Working around an active railroad required extensive planning and coordinating to ensure a safe and successful project.
  • The owner’s project control software (E-builder) was used to document and promote timely communication.
  • Coordinated with more than six other contracts being performed within the project zone, including civil work, rail work, road bridge, train station and landscaping.
