Two Projects, Two ABC Carolinas Eagle Awards

Our Charlotte and Raleigh regions have received two ABC Carolinas Eagle Awards, recognizing excellence in construction for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) Ballantyne Ridge High School and Fort Bragg Special Operations Forces (SOF) Group. 

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Ballantyne Ridge High School 

The newly constructed 313,158‑square‑foot Charlotte‑Mecklenburg Schools high school—designed for 2,500 students and featuring 100 classrooms—has earned industry recognition for its forward‑thinking design and expansive learning environment. 

Some of the school’s features include modern, student‑centered spaces including a contemporary cafeteria, an expanded library, a fully equipped theater, and two gymnasiums that support a wide range of academic, arts, and athletic programs. 

The project also delivered a comprehensive athletics complex. Key elements include  

  • Football stadium 
  • Synthetic turf practice field 
  • Baseball and softball fields 
  • Tennis courts 
  • Dedicated support facilities such as locker rooms and concessions buildings 

 

Fort Bragg Special Operations Forces (SOF) Group Headquarters 

Inside Fort Bragg, the SOF Group Headquarters includes a newly constructed 105,000‑square‑foot, two‑story facility designed for U.S. Army Special Operations Forces. The building delivers a highly functional, mission‑driven environment with advanced administrative, training, operational, and secure spaces—supported by comprehensive site and infrastructure improvements. 

Key functions within the facility include: 

  • Administrative offices 
  • Conference rooms 
  • Classrooms 
  • Secure area 
  • Logistics operations center 
  • Network operations center 
  • Secure storage 
  • Arms room vault
