Description

Expression Therapeutics is a biotechnology company that develops novel gene therapies. The products are engineered using proprietary gene expression biotechnologies designed for optimal safety and efficacy. This facility supports the continued development and clinical trials of these breakthrough drugs. It is a 43,631 sf buildout of an open warehouse structure that includes office, laboratory and storage space and houses ISO 7 cleanrooms.

Features

  • Modular PODS were constructed off site for the facility’s cleanrooms to accelerate the buildout.
  • The project began during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic when material lead times and costs were rapidly increasing. Despite these challenges, Messer delivered the project on-time and within budget. 
  • Building Information Modeling (BIM) enabled our team to virtually model the mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems prior to construction, ultimately reducing cost and ensuring the reliability of the construction schedule.
