This 240,000 sf expansion and 72,000 sf renovation of the Cabarrus County Courthouse adds 18 courtrooms, one future triage courtroom, seven potential future courtrooms and office spaces.

Features

  • Many of the small businesses downtown depend on the constant traffic flow. When handling road closures and site logistics, the project team worked diligently to ensure construction activities did not impede on surrounding neighborhood operations.
  • With an underground tunnel connecting from the jail to the courthouse, Messer developed a detailed security plan coupled with Messer's Zero Injury Program.
  • This project received a Merit Award from ABC Carolinas Chapter.
