Description

This project involves a ~120,000 sf renovation and a 5,500 sf two-story expansion. Key components include the installation of four new modular operating rooms, a full-scale renovation of perioperative pre-op, PACU, support spaces, and the sterile processing department. The scope extends beyond clinical areas, covering administrative, research, and non-clinical renovations, as well as numerous infrastructure updates to the 90-year-old facility.

Features

  • The project incorporated Integrated Project Delivery concepts including Target Value Design to drive the schedule.
  • There were approximately 26 renovation phases over the course of the project. Special care was taken to ensure hospital operations were not impacted.
  • This project received two awards from ABC Carolinas Chapter: Merit Award and Best in BIM Award
