Description

The Mecklenburg District Attorney’s (DA) office was housed in the Mecklenburg County Courthouse, originally built in 1928. The neoclassical courthouse stands at the heart of Charlotte; this is a 45,000 sf interior renovation of a historic facility.

Features

  • Project included new mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems and architectural finishes.
  • The building’s central utility plant (CUP) remained operational throughout all phases of construction.
  • Due to our expert use of Lean Construction tools, we were able to complete the project nearly five months ahead of schedule.
  • Through extensive outreach efforts, our team was able to exceed 60% inclusion of Minority- and Women-owned Business Enterprises.
