Description

University Hall at Miami’s Regionals campus houses the entire nursing program. This is a 26,000 sf, two-phased renovation featuring two units with 10 hospital beds and four simulation center rooms including OB, pediatric, medical surgical, and ICU. There is also expanded space for classrooms, multiple study spaces, a conference room, reception area, staff break room, and offices

Features

  • Throughout construction, the building remained operational. Messer worked extensively with Miami’s staff to ensure the
    safety of students, staff and guests was maintained at all times.
  • All materials were purchased, coordinated, and fabricated  before starting demolition to meet the project’s tight schedule. 
  • Utilized Lean Construction techniques such as Reverse Phase Scheduling and leveraged relationships with
    key subcontractors and suppliers to ensure the project was
    completed on time.
