Description

A green field build of a 3-story, 113,000 sf building that inlcudes classrooms, auditoriums, faculty offices, the Dean's office, meeting rooms and a coffee shop.

Features

  • The project was on an occupied campus requiring significant attention to site logistics, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations in addition to preserving student, faculty, staff and visitor safety.
  • A 70x26 copper dome was constructed on top of the building with a 6' diameter column, setting the stage for a grand entrance overlooking the south law space.
  • The large pre-cast column pays homage to the limestone columns of WKU’s first building built on campus, Van Meter Hall which Messer renovated in 2008.
  • The space includes a trading lab complete with a ticker tape with current stock market values.
  • LEED Gold Certified.
